About the Position

As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you're the person others turn to for the tough calls. You'll take on our most complex inspections, verifications, repairs, installs, and retrofits across both addressable and conventional systems, set the standard for quality, and help less experienced technicians grow.

This is a hands-on senior role with real influence. At Mainline, we're building proprietary systems and processes to modernize the industry and make the job better for our technicians and our customers. The people doing the work every day have a real say in how those tools get built.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex inspections, tests, verifications, and repairs on fire alarm and life safety systems, including annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly inspections of fire alarms, smoke control, and elevator fire controls.
  • Diagnose and resolve difficult issues on both addressable and conventional systems, from ground faults and open circuits to relays and auxiliary devices.
  • Install, wire, and program new fire alarm panels and devices.
  • Own accurate, on-time documentation of your work and any deficiencies, and resolve those deficiencies as identified.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, explaining the work so they understand what was done and why.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate technicians, passing on what you've learned on the tougher jobs.
  • Take part in after-hours on-call rotations, responding promptly and handling critical issues independently.
  • Share feedback from the field that helps us build and improve our proprietary systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Must be CFAA registered, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in the fire/life safety industry.
  • Deep expertise across fire alarm systems: troubleshooting, testing, wiring, programming, and installation.
  • Proven ability to handle complex, escalated diagnostics independently.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare thorough reports and inspection documentation.
  • A strong ability to teach and pass on knowledge to junior technicians.
  • Comfortable with iPads and mobile/digital reporting tools.
  • Manufacturer training or certification from any major panel brand is an asset. As a Mircom ESD holder, Mainline provides access to Mircom’s certification courses for technicians who want to build expertise in that area.
  • Experience with other fire protection services, such as sprinklers and suppression systems, is an asset.
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.

About the Position

We’re looking for a Scheduler / Client Coordinator to plan, optimize, and run our inspection schedules with precision and care. You’ll be the central point of contact between our customers, technicians, and subcontractors, keeping the work flowing smoothly today while helping us shape how it should flow tomorrow.

Scheduling sits at the heart of how we deliver service. You’ll work in BuildOps, our field service platform, alongside the proprietary tools and processes we’re building to modernize the trade. You won’t be expected to build those tools yourself, but you’ll understand the work better than anyone, and your insight will directly shape them. The clunky steps you’d love to delete and the “there has to be a better way” moments are exactly what we want to hear.

This role is hybrid by design: three days a week in our Concord office and two from home. We’ve built it around close collaboration, so you’ll stay connected to the team and the work no matter where you’re logging in from. If you do your best work with a mix of focused independence and real teamwork, this setup is made for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain inspection schedules in BuildOps, alongside the proprietary systems we’re developing in-house.
  • Balance the moving pieces: regulatory requirements, customer needs, technician availability, geography, and priority, routing work efficiently.
  • Keep everyone in sync, maintaining steady communication with technicians and office staff and heading off issues before they become problems.
  • Keep clients informed and confident with proactive check-ins, service updates, and schedule adjustments.
  • Stay on top of the details: monitor service efficiency, keep records accurate, and coordinate with the shop on parts so everyone shows up prepared.
  • Support bid proposals with accurate inspection schedules, and help refine how scheduling actually works.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years in scheduling, dispatch, or client coordination.
  • Strong organization and time management. You keep many plates spinning without dropping them.
  • Comfortable with software and quick to learn new systems.
  • Sharp attention to detail and the ability to make sense of complex schedules.
  • Excellent communication across multiple teams, and composure under deadline pressure.
  • Bonus: experience in fire protection or field-service trades, familiarity with FSM or CRM tools, familiarity with workflow automation or AI tools, or a natural eye for inefficiency.

About the Position

We’re looking for a licensed 427A Sprinkler Technician who takes pride in the craft. You’ll carry out installations, repairs, and inspections across a wide range of sprinkler systems, working on real projects with the tools, vehicle, and support to do the job properly. You’ll also play a hands-on role in bringing apprentices along, sharing your knowledge on the job without the administrative weight of a management title.

  • Perform hydrant flow testing and inspections.
  • Service and maintain fire pumps, air compressors, and backflow prevention systems.

  • Communicate clearly with customers throughout the job, keeping them informed and confident in the work.

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Sprinkler Technician to join our installation and service team. You will be responsible for the layout, installation, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the GTA.

You will work closely with our project managers and field supervisors to ensure all installations are completed on time, on budget, and to code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on job sites
